Is recently approved by the FDA for the treatment of cervical dystonia which is characterized by abnormal neck pain and movement,
and blepharospasm an abnormal, involuntary blinking or spasm of the eyelids in adults.
Xeomin is an acetylcholine release inhibitor
and neromascular blocking agent used to relax the muscles.
Xeomin is the only approved neurotoxin that does not need to be refrigerated before use. Unopened vials can be stored no more than 25°C (77°F)
until the expiry date. After reconstitution the product may be stored in a refrigerator at (2°C to 8°C) and administered within 24 hours.
